Iran reveals activity of Amirabad port

A total of 187,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

While in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), 181,000 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded at this port, the report added.

According to the report, about 37,900 tons of goods were loaded and 149,000 tons were unloaded in the sixth month.

“During the reporting month, 35,200 tons of goods were exported and 145,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port,” the report said.

As many as 400 tons of goods were loaded and 2,560 tons were unloaded for transit through this port over the sixth month.

About 2,130 tons of goods were loaded and 2,130 tons were unloaded for transshipment at Amirabad port within the sixth month.

“More than 92 tons of goods were loaded, and 107 tons were unloaded for other purposes over the same month at this port,” the report noted.

According to the report, 130,000 tons of essential products, 3,260 tons of metal products, 36,500 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 539 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 3,350 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded at the Amirabad port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

“In addition, 1,400 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 364 tons of container products and 11,400 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded during the reporting month,” the report said.

In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
