Turkish Gemlik port's 4M2021 cargo shipment volume revealed

Over 4.3 million tons of cargo had been transshipped via the Turkish Gemlik port in the first 4 months of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period 357,658 tons were delivered to the Gemlik port by ships flying the Turkish flag while more than 4 million tons by ships flying the flags of other countries.

More than 25.1 million tons of cargo were transited through the port from January through April 2021, the ministry said.

Totally, over 124.9 million tons of cargo had been transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Meanwhile, over 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports.

About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.

Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period.

Some 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.

In general, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021.

At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.

More than 6.3 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April this year.
