Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iran’s Qeshm port decreases

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 25 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (June 23 through August 22, 2021), compared to the 4th month (June 22 through July 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 368,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 186,000 tons were loaded and 182,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 15,000 tons of cargo were exported and 2,670 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the fifth month.

Over the 5th month, 171,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 179,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 245 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transshipment.

According to the statistics, 14,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 342,000 tons of small and assorted products, 729 tons of container products and 10,600 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the fifth month of the current Iranian year.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fifth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.29 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
