Cargo movements in Iran’s Qeshm port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 27.8 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), compared to the 5th month (June 23 through August 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 471,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 225,000 tons were loaded and 246,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 331 tons of cargo were exported and 2,787 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the sixth month.

Over the 6th month, 224,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 243,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 461 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transshipment, as well as 82 tons were loaded for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 330 tons of essential products, 453,000 tons of small and assorted products, 1,140 tons of container products and 16,300 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the sixth month of the current Iranian year.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the sixth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.35 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
