BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 21.4 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 393,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 167,000 tons were loaded and about 226,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 6th month, 156,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 74,800 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 653 tons of cargo were loaded and 196 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

At the same time, 7,150 tons of cargo were loaded and 151,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 6th month.

Furthermore, 3,050 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

Some 11,200 tons of essential products, 112 tons of metal products, 120,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,220 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 9 tons of chemicals, 4,230 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 63,200 tons of container products, and about 192,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 13.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.67 million tons were loaded and about 6.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
