BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 23. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 12.3 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, over 484,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 235,000 tons were loaded and more than 249,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 911 tons of cargo were exported and 2,140 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 7th month.

Over the 7th month, 234,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 247,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 60 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for other purposes.

Some 310 of essential products, 400 tons of metal products, about 471,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 421 tons of container products, and 12,300 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
