BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 16. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), increased by 9.13 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 229,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port during the reporting month. Of this, 42,300 tons were loaded and about 187,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 31,000 tons of cargo were exported and 185,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 11th month.

Within the 11th month, 11,300 tons of cargo were loaded and 959 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

Also, 8 tons of cargo were loaded and 718 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 11th month.

Some 168,000 tons of essential products, 485 tons of metal products, 28,600 tons of construction and mining materials, and 7,200 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 8,760 tons of chemicals, 1,500 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 50 tons of small and assorted goods, 749 tons of container products, and 13,700 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
