An international exhibition of innovative technologies of the Caspian states will be held in Turkmenistan’s tourist resort town Awaza on August 12-13, Trend reports on June 20 with reference to the event organizer - the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
National media, in turn, report that this issue was discussed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.
It is expected that the exposition of Turkmenistan will be placed on an area of 880 square meters, and a total of 1,332 square meters will be allotted for foreign companies.
In addition, an international conference is scheduled to be held, where the participants will discuss topical issues such as the role of the economy of the Caspian region on a global scale, factors of growth of investment attractiveness in the oil and gas, electric power, transport, trade, agro-industrial and tourist industries.
Special attention will be paid to the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects and programs, creating and developing special and free economic zones, joint ventures, as well as the digital economy, promising areas of cooperation between the regions of the coastal states, legal regulation of trade and economic relations, as well as exchange of statistical information, the Turkmenistan State News Agency reported.
Events dedicated to the Caspian Sea Day to be marked on August 12, will be held with the assistance of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
Turkmenistan is preparing to hold the first Caspian Economic Forum at the same time. In addition to the delegations of the Caspian states, representatives of interested states close to the Caspian region, heads and representatives of international economic, financial, transport, environmental and other organizations are invited to the forum.
