Kazakhstan, Almaty, 14 September / Trend corr. R.Mashadihasanli / Heads of the diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan paid familiarization visit to the Northern Kazakhstan Region (NKR), the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend .
Head of diplomatic representations of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Canada, Kygyzstan and Russia visited the NKR. Opinions were exchanged on issues of productivity, cost of grain and problems of their transportation during a meeting with Serik Bilyalov, the head of the NKO.
Foreign diplomats, who spoke about problems with export of the northern Kazakh grain, were extremely interested in the topic of bread. Kyrgyzstan intends to purchase 300,000 tons of grain from the NKO in 2008, whilst is concerned about bans to export them from country, as it was in 2007, when the Kyrgyz businessmen could not convey 50,000 tons of wheat from Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the visit, the foreign diplomats visited some huge processing and industrial enterprises of the NKO, including Molservice company, Sultan EMMK Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC), Sultan confectionery, as well as PZTM OJSC and ZIKSTO OJSC.
