Kazakhstan should keep the 2011 record grain harvest, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev told Prime Minister Karim Masimov today.

According to the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry, the country can harvest 25 million tons of grain in 2011. However, the government and farmers have difficulties with storage and sale of record harvest for the last 60 years.

"It is important to keep this great harvest, to export in proper time, so that farmers did not lose the money and got appropriate means for further development from this great harvest," Nazarbayev said.

In turn, Masimov said a staff, headed by the Agriculture Minister has been set up on this issue.
