A signing ceremony of a number of joint documents took place on Wednesday as part of the state visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Kyrgyzstan, the Information Policy Department reports.

A signing ceremony of a number of joint documents took place on Wednesday as part of the state visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Kyrgyzstan, the Information Policy Department reports.

In particular, the jubilee declaration on deepening their strategic partnership was signed.

A protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh investment fund dated 11 July 2007 was also signed.

The State Service on Drug Control and the Kazakh Internal Affairs Ministry signed an agreement on cooperation in combating illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs. The two foreign ministries signed a cooperation program for 2012-2013.

The parties also signed the decision of the two countries' interstate council to push the Treaty on Allied Relations dated December 25, 2003.
