Kazakhstan temporary restricts traffic of heavy vehicles loaded with cargo exceeding 8 tons on single axle under temperature over 25 degree, Kazakhavtodar National company reported.
This measure is taken due to the loss of the bearing capacity of public roads of national importance in daytime and evening in summer.
The traffic of heavy vehicles will be restricted on June 1- August 15 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm in Akmola, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan,West Kazakhstan, , Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions and Karaganda area of Karaganda region.
In Almaty, Atyrau, Jambul, Kyzylorda, Mangystau, South Kazakhstan regions and Zhezkhazgan area of Karaganda region, the traffic of heavy vehicles will be restricted in June 1- August 31 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Meanwhile, this restriction does not concern vehicles carrying cargo and passenger in accordance with international agreements, implementing activity on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, carrying perishable goods, passengers and baggage, dangerous cargo and involved in road construction works.
