By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dosayev has presented the draft national concept of Kazakhstan's social development until 2030 to the Majilis (lower chamber) of parliament.

"The minimum social standards as a key principle of the social development model, envisages the minimum required level of rendering social services will be guaranteed for citizens at every stage of their lives," the minister said.
Moreover, he told MPs about the government's approach while working out the minimum social standards.

According to him, the implementation of minimum social standards must ensure equal conditions for self-fulfilment of citizens regardless of social status, gender and ethnicity through expanded access to social benefits in all areas of social policy such as health, education, social protection, culture and sports and at all stages of the life cycle.

It was proposed to reconsider the minimum social standards at least once every three years unless otherwise envisaged by law to ensure their compliance with the socio-economic development level of the country, he said.

Earlier, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in his annual message to the nation 'Strategy Kazakhstan -2050: a new political course of the established state', determined new principles of the social policy based on such a principle that the country must guarantee the minimum social standard to its citizens in terms of the global crisis.
