Kazakh National Security Committee's Border Patrol Service revealed the facts of embezzlement of funds, according to the report of Chief Military Prosecutor's Office.
"During the inspection of application of the legislation on public procurement in the Border Patrol Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan, the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office revealed embezzlement of funds paid by the participants of public procurement as a security deposit on the account of the Border Patrol Service, amounting to more than 10 million tenge [182.03 tenge = 1$], " the statement said.
The report noted that, the examination also found instances of non-observance of public procurement procedures, unfounded signing of additional agreements and failure of implementing measures against unfair suppliers. Also, the examination revealed the facts of the receipt of goods and works not complying with the requirements.
"The examination materials were submitted to criminal prosecution authorities for appropriate procedural decision," the statement said.
