Kazakhstan to begin motor fuel production in Turkestan region in 2022

Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev spoke about the implementation of industrial projects in the field of the fuel and energy complex in the Turkestan region, Trend reports citing the Kazakh media.

He said that two projects worth 105 billion tenge ($246.8 million) are under implementation in the region.

“By late 2021, the project for petrochemicals production is planned to be closed out. In 2022, it is planned to implement a plant for the production of motor fuel and petrochemical products. More than 400 new jobs will be created after the implementation of these projects,” Mirzagaliyev said at a meeting of the Government.

Earlier, the energy minister stated that a plant for the production of petrochemical reagents, polyurethane foam, mineral wool, as well as the processing of associated gas in the Aktobe region will be set up by late 2021.
