BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC), the operator of the North Caspian project, produced 12.7 million tons of oil and 7.9 billion cubic meters of gas on oil and gas fields under its control in Kazakhstan, Trend reports, referring to the NCOC.

Additionally, the company produced some 991,000 tons of sulfur in 2022.

NCOC also completed its second turnaround, which was the largest in history, with the full shutdown of Kashagan production facilities. The turnaround was completed ahead of schedule without safety incidents, with 1.3 million man-hours.

Several integrity and production enhancement projects were executed during 2022. These included upgrades to the offshore gas injection compressors. The company notes that around 10,000 people participated in the performance of the above-mentioned activities.

The North Caspian Operating Company operates several oil and gas fields, including Kashagan, Kairan, and Aktoty. The NCOC includes KazMunayGas (16.88 percent), Eni (16.81 percent), Shell (16.81 percent), ExxonMobil (16.81 percent), TotalEnergies (16.81 percent), CNPC (8.33 percent) and Inpex (7.56 percent).
