BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. Kazakhstan's KTZ Express JSC jointly with Russia's RZD Logistics JSC organized the dispatch of the first refrigerated container train in direct rail traffic on the Moscow-Xi'an (China) route, Trend reports via the press service of KTZ.
The refrigerated container train is used to deliver agricultural products to China.
The meat and chicken products containers will proceed to their destination through the Kazakh-Chinese border.
Previously, the delivery was multimodal, using rail and sea transport. The future plans include arranging this new service every week.
Last year, RZD Logistics company, KTZ Express, and Turkmenistan's Transport and Logistics Center signed a memorandum of cooperation in international and transit freight traffic.
