ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 29. Kazakhstan’s imports from Germany amounted to $1.7 billion from January through July 2023, which is 86.6 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports.
The growth of imports from Germany is justified by an increase in imports: passenger cars - an increase of 5.1 times or by $124.9 million (from $30.5 to $155.4 million); machines for harvesting and threshing agricultural crops - an increase of 2.6 times or by $61.5 million (from $37.3 to $98.8 million); tractors and truck tractors - an increase of 2.8 times or by $46.8 million (from $26.7 to $73.6 million); trailers and semi-trailers - an increase of 3.3 times or by $43.5 million (from $18.5 to $62 million), etc.
At the same time, there is a decrease in import supplies of vehicles intended for repair and maintenance of railway or tram tracks - by 95.6 percent or by $3.9 million (from $4.1 to $0.2 million); radar and radio navigation equipment - by 94.7 percent or by $3 million (from $3.2 to $0.2 million).
The main import goods to Kazakhstan from Germany are passenger cars - $155.4 million (with a share of 8.9 percent); medicines - $137 million (7.9 percent); machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing agricultural crops - $98.8 million (5.7 percent); tractors and tractor units - $73.6 million (4.2 percent), trailers and semi-trailers - $62 million (3.6 percent).
Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany from January through July 2023 amounted to $2.05 billion, which is 60.7 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year ($1.28 billion).
