ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 13. Kazakhstan increased oil and gas production from January through November 2023, said Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov at a government meeting, Trend reports.
Thus, in general, mining industry output increased by 5.2 percent. Gas production increased by 12 percent, oil production - by 7.8 percent, and other minerals - by 13 percent.
At the same time, metal ore production fell by 0.5 percent, mining services - by 2.6 percent, and coal production - by 5.8 percent.
In addition, as the minister noted, the manufacturing industry maintains positive growth rates. Production volume increased by 3.4 percent.
Positive growth was registered in 13 regions of the country, including the Kyzylorda region - 28.9 percent, Kostanay region - 14.4 percent, Abay region - 14.1 percent, Almaty city - 17.7 percent.
Meanwhile, gas production volume for 2022 amounted to 53.3 billion cubic meters, or 103.1 percent of the 2022 plan. Commercial gas production amounted to 27.8 billion cubic meters, or 94 percent of the plan.
Domestic consumption of commercial gas in Kazakhstan amounted to 19.3 billion cubic meters, or 107.2 percent of the 2022 plan, exports - 4.6 billion cubic meters, or 85.1 percent of the plan.
The volume of liquefied petroleum gas production (supplied to the domestic market) amounted to 2.8 million tons, or 98 percent of the plan.
At the same time, the volume of oil production in 2022 in Kazakhstan amounted to 84.2 million tons, or 101.6 percent of the planned figure. Oil exports in 2022 reached 64.3 million tons, or 103.4 percent of the plan.
Kazakhstan also plans to produce 90.5 million tons of oil in 2023, of which 71 million are planned to be exported.
