ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 30. About 77,400 transactions worth 23.8 billion tenge were sent to Kazakhstan from abroad through international money transfer systems in November 2023, Trend reports.
The data of the Central Bank of Kazakhstan shows that compared to October 2023, the number of money transfers received decreased by 2.6 percent, the volume of transactions increased by 1 percent.
In November, the largest number of transfers abroad were made through the Zolotaya Korona (37,150 transactions - 12.615 billion tenge or about $27.6 million), Western Union (19,460 - 5.671 billion tenge or about $12.4 million), MONEYGRAM (10,180 - 3.481 billion tenge or about $7.6 million), CONTACT (6,600 - 1.627 billion tenge or about $3.5 million) and others (4,000 - 363.78 million tenge or about $796,091).
In terms of the volume of money to Kazakhstan from abroad, the leaders are: Russia: 7 billion tenge or about $15 million (share 29.6 percent); the US - 2.9 billion tenge or about $6.3 million (share 12.2 percent); Uzbekistan: 2.78 billion tenge or about $6.1 million (share 11.7 percent).
In addition, the main share of transfers through international systems was carried out in US dollars (share of the total number of transfers: 39.4 percent, share of the total volume of transfers: 58.7 percent) and in Kazakhstani tenge (34.7 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively).
