ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 12. Kazakhstan and Italy have discussed the release of goods under a single brand - "Made in Kazakhstan with Italy," Trend reports.
The discussions took place as part of a meeting between Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev and Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso in Rome.
As Shakkaliyev noted, Kazakhstan and Italy have already established a successful practice of mutually beneficial cooperation. "Kazakhstan is a reliable partner of Italian business in Central Asia. At the same time, our countries have great opportunities to further deepen their partnership in the economic sphere," he said.
According to him, the potential for the export of processed goods from Kazakhstan to Italy exceeds $260 million. "Organic food products have significant benefits. One of the promising products that, according to our forecasts, will be in demand on the Italian market is horse meat. Kazakhstan can offer organic chilled horse meat as well as export supplies of caviar and honey. Considering that Italy annually imports horse meat worth more than $140 million, Kazakh companies could successfully supply quality meat to Italian buyers," the minister said.
Then the minister proposed to work on the issue of creating and promoting a unified concept, "Made in Kazakhstan with Italy." In turn, Adolfo Urso supported the initiative to create a single brand.
To note, Italy is Kazakhstan's largest trading partner among EU countries, as well as the largest third trading partner in the world.
The volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy amounted to $16.071 billion in 2023.
