ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 28. Türkiye's crude oil imports from Kazakhstan amounted to 211,973 tons in January 2024, Trend reports.
According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), import volume decreased by over 66.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023 (633,694 tons).
The share of imports from Kazakhstan is 5.57 percent of the total crude oil that Türkiye imported in January 2024 (2.42 million tons).
Moreover, in December 2023, Türkiye imported 215,116 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $6 billion in 2023. The volume of trade turnover decreased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($6.3 billion).
At the same time, in terms of trade turnover, exports to Turkey
for the aforementioned period totaled $3.9 billion, which is 16.4
percent less than from January to December 2022 ($4.7 billion).
Furthermore, imports from Turkey climbed by 27 percent between
January and December 2023, totaling $2 billion. In 2022, imports
totaled $1.6 billion.
