Kazakhstan, Georgia to ink agreement on road communication by October 1

(Kazakhstan today) - Kazakhstan and Georgia are going to ink an agreement on international road communication by October 1. A corresponding item is provided by the protocol of the second session of the intergovernmental Kazakh-Georgian commission for commercial and economic co-operation.

"For liberalisation of the international road communication between Kazakhstan and Georgia it is recommended to ink a new agreement on the international road communication between the governments of Kazakhstan and Georgia that would provide a licensing system for organising international transportations by road by October 1 and to provide that it comes into effect by 1 January, 2007," - the document says, reports Trend.

From the Kazakhstani side the protocol was signed by Askar Mamin, Minister of Transport and Communications, from the Georgian side - Irakliy Chogovadze, Minister of Economic Development.
