Police in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, detained the 19-year-old resident of Nookat district for recruiting residents of Osh and Osh region to participate in combat zones abroad, the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan news agency reported.

"A young man has been sending recruits from Osh region to participate in wars abroad as part of terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq with further intention of committing unlawful acts on the territory of Kyrgyzstan," the Ministry of Interior said. "He was also doing the financing, documentation and buying of tickets for recruits to countries of conflict zones."

The man was arrested November 14 at Osh airport while he was helping the recruit to register for an Osh-Istanbul flight.

The detainee in his testimony said that he is an active member of a terrorist organization "Katibat al-Imam Bukhari", banned by the Osh City Court since May 13, 2015.

During the search operation, the authorities found and confiscated 2 units of improvised explosive devices, bottles with a mixture, numerous DVDs with extremist content, mobile phones, SIM cards, and laptops.
