Kyrgyz Prime Minister Muhammedkalyi Abylgaziev visited Dastan Transnational Corporation OJSC, kabar.kg reports.
As the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported, Production Director Sergey Drobyshev told that the factory is a multi-faceted enterprise with a unique technological base, capable of producing products that meet modern requirements and international standards. The factory has a testing ground located at Issyk-Kul Lake, which makes it possible to carry out the necessary marine tests of all navigation equipment.
“The available equipment allows us to provide all types of mechanical processing, welding, tool, forging, paint production, as well as production of printed circuit boards of increased complexity, plastic and rubber products,” he said.
After inspecting the production premises and familiarizing himself with the factory’s activities, Abylgaziev discussed with the management of the company plans for modernizing the technological process and expanding production capacities, including through co-production with other foreign specialized enterprises, primarily from Russia.
Taking into account the uniqueness of the enterprise, including the products of the military-industrial complex exported abroad, the head of government stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to enter new markets, further enhancing the competitiveness of the enterprise and expanding the range of products.
“It is gratifying that we were able to maintain such a unique specialized enterprise with highly qualified specialists and leading positions in the market. But today we must work out effective mechanisms so that not a single square meter of this factory is empty and used for its intended purpose. It is necessary to restore its former power and production volumes, because quite recently thousands of people worked here,” Abylgaziev said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic pays special attention to the development of the domestic industry, and the support of such unique production facilities like Dastan is the priority of its work.
“Along with the opening of new production facilities, we need to stimulate exports by concentrating efforts on supporting such powerful enterprises as Dastan, which has its own production base. We intend to achieve a breakthrough in the development of industry - this is our firm course - and the Government will provide necessary assistance to modernize production and expand the capabilities of Dastan factory,” Abylgaziev said.
Dastan factory is one of the leading enterprises in the Commonwealth of Independent States area for the creation and production of high-quality naval weapons, special-purpose underwater technical equipment.
