BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Kyrgyzstan's wholesale and retail trade turnover increased in the first half of 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The total value of the wholesale trade from January through June 2022 in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 93.8 billion soms ($1.1 billion), which is an increase of 36.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (68.5 billion soms, or $824.7 million).
Kyrgyzstan's retail trade turnover in the reporting period increased by 17.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year (114.4 billion soms, or $1.3 billion) - up to 134.7 billions soms ($1.6 billion).
Notably, the growth in wholesale and retail trade in the first half of 2022 was recorded in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, particularly in the capital Bishkek and the second-largest city - Osh.
