BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev and Minister of Commerce of Pakistan Syed Naveed Qamar have indicated priority areas of bilateral cooperation, Trend reports via Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting on August 11, the both sides stressed the need for active joint work to increase trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, as well as collaboration in such areas as:

- agriculture;

- mining;

- pharmaceutical and textile industries;

- energy;

- industry and tourism.

Totuyaev stressed the need of holding the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation and joint business forums on a regular basis, as well as the relevance of fostering investment cooperation by building up investment funds.

Meanwhile, Qamar, for his part, noted that there are significant opportunities for development of partnerships between the two countries, and in this regard, he announced his readiness to actively cooperate with the Kyrgyz side to implement the plans.
