BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Kyrgyzstan's textile industry increased manufacturing from January through July 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Committee, Kyrgyzstan in seven months of 2022 increased textile production by 33.3 percent compared to the same period of last year (3.6 billion soms, or $44.1 million) - up to 4.8 billion soms ($58.6 million).
Clothing production in Kyrgyzstan from January through July amounted to 3.6 billion soms ($44.3 million), which is an increase of 33.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 (2.7 billion soms, or $32.9 million).
Meanwhile, the amount of other textile products (including the production of leather and footwear) manufactured in the reporting period totaled 1.1 billion soms ($14.2 million), which is 19.5 percent more than in the same period of last year. (920 million soms, or $11.1 million).
