BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan increased dramatically from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Turkmenistan in the first half of this year amounted to $59.8 million, which is 3.9 times more than the same period in 2021 ($15.2 million).
The value of Kyrgyz exports to Turkmenistan in the reporting period increased by 31.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year ($1.9 million) - up to $2.5 million.
Kyrgyzstan mainly exported to Turkmenistan incandescent light bulbs worth $755,600, confectionery - $638,600, fruits and nuts - $205,200.
Meanwhile, the export of goods from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 amounted to $57.3 million, which is 4.3 times more than in the same period of 2021 ($13.3 million).
