BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Revenues of Kyrgyzstan's insurance companies increased from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the committee, the revenues of insurance companies of Kyrgyzstan in the first half of this year increased by 23 percent compared to the same period of last year - up to 1.2 billion soms ($14.8 million).

"As of July 1, 2022, insurance companies concluded 127,500 insurance contracts. Of the total number of contracts concluded, more than 86 percent were contracts with individuals. At the same time, voluntary insurance accounted for more than 65 percent of the total number of contracts concluded," the committee reported.

Moreover, the amount of insurance premiums from January through June 2022 reached about one billion soms ($12.3 million), which is almost an increase of 29 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

Remarkably, during this period, a total of 14 insurance companies operated in Kyrgyzstan.
