BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 25. Kyrgyzstan increased its production of cars from January through July 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, the value of Kyrgyzstan's car production in seven months of this year amounted to 679.2 million soms ($8.4 million) which is an increase of 14.4 percent compared to the same period of last year (593.4 million soms, or $7.3 million)
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022 imported 16,245 passenger cars, which is almost a threefold increase compared to the corresponding period of 2021 (5,529). The main exporting countries of passenger cars to Kyrgyzstan during the reporting period were Georgia - 6,052 and Russia - 3,072.
Meanwhile, the total value of Kyrgyzstan's imported passenger cars from January through June 2022 increased by two times compared to the same period of last year ($61.9 million) - up to $127.5 million.
