BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 exported goods to Türkiye worth $72.3 million, which is more than a twofold increase compared to the same period of last year ($34.9 million), Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, the top-5 export commodities of Kyrgyzstan to Türkiye during the reporting period were:
- oil and petroleum products ($26 million);
- cotton fiber ($22.5 million);
- legumes ($7.4 million);
- fruits and nuts ($5.5 million);
- lead ($4.5 million).
Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 also exported to Türkiye products of animal origin worth $2.5 million, aluminum and products from it - $1.1 million, gold - $609,600 and silver $258,700.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye in the first half of this year amounted to $292.4 million, which is an increase of 61.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($180.9 million).
