Kyrgyzstan records economic growth for 10M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 11. Kyrgyzstan's GDP has increased from January through October 2022, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan Bakytbek Shokenov said at a press conference, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

According to preliminary data, the GDP of Kyrgyzstan from January through October 2022 increased by 7 percent over the same period in 2021 - up to 688.8 billion soms ($8.1 billion).

Shokenov noted that the growth of Kyrgyzstan's GDP in this period was affected by an increase in commodity production in the services sector.

"During the reporting period, the largest share in the structure of GDP fell on the service sector - 45 percent, the share of industry was 18 percent, agriculture - more than 14 percent and the share of construction - about 7 percent," he said.

Earlier, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said that Kyrgyzstan's GDP in 2022 is projected at 824 billion soms ($10.3 billion), and in 2024 - 926 billion soms ($11.6 billion).
