BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Kyrgyzstan exported 10,912 tons of oil products in January 2023, which is a decrease of 20 percent compared to 13,652 tons in January 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of the exports amounted to $6.4 million in the corresponding period, decreasing by 18 percent over $7 million in January 2022.

The largest amount of oil products, 7,224 tons, was exported to Uzbekistan. The figure increased by 4.7 times over 1,521 tons in January 2022.

The value of the exports to Uzbekistan totaled $2 million in the reporting period, increasing by 4.8 times compared to January 2022 ($430,600).

Although the second-largest buyer of oil products from Kyrgyzstan in the first month of 2023 was Türkiye, the volume of exports decreased by 75 percent compared to January 2022.

The volume of oil product exports from Kyrgyzstan to Türkiye amounted to 1,997 tons in January 2023, and 7,880 tons in January 2022.

The value of the exports totaled $2 million, decreasing by 44 percent compared to $4 million in January 2022.

Among the countries that bought oil products from Kyrgyzstan in January 2023 are China, Kuwait, the UAE, India, Egypt, Belgium, and others.

Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $834 million in January 2023, which is an increase of 20 percent, compared to $692 million in January 2022.

The value of exports from Kyrgyzstan in the corresponding period totaled $125 million, increasing by 11 percent compared to $111 million in January 2022.

The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan reached $709 million, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to $581 million in January 2022.
