BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 1. A total of 42.473 million eggs were produced in Kyrgyzstan in January 2024, which is a 15.3 percent increase compared to January 2023, Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee reveals that the Chuy region accounted for the highest number of eggs produced – 35.187 million, a 16 percent increase from January 2023.
Additionally, in the Osh region 2.220 million eggs were produced, in the Jalal-Abad region - 1.900 million eggs, in the Issyk-Kul region -1.624 million eggs, in the Talas region - 702,800 eggs, in the Batken region - 544,300 eggs, and in the Naryn region -171,800 eggs. The cities of Bishkek and Osh produced 62,100 and 61,100 eggs respectively.
In 2023, Kyrgyzstan produced a total of 685.738 million eggs, which is 12.8 percent higher than the 607.883 million produced in 2022.
The gross output of agriculture, forestry, and fishing in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 11.780 billion soms ($131.7 million) in January 2024, which is a 1.4 percent increase in production volume.
