BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 6. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has grown by nearly 62 percent in recent years, said President Sadyr Zhaparov at the 11th Summit of OTS Heads of State in Bishkek, Trend reports.

"The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the OTS countries has increased by nearly 62 percent in recent years. I believe this is a clear indication that we are moving in the right direction," he stated.

The President called on OTS member states to develop a document aimed at boosting capital investments and expanding market access for goods and services, with the goal of further strengthening trade and economic cooperation.

Zhaparov also mentioned that under Kyrgyzstan's presidency of the OTS, negotiations would be initiated on intergovernmental agreements in areas such as services, finance, the creation and support of common labor markets, digital and electronic commerce, intellectual property, agriculture, technology, innovation, tourism, and education.

"In this regard, I strongly support the signing of a Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, which will promote digital trade among the Turkic states," the President added.
