The Second International Agribusiness Investment Forum will be held in Dushanbe on Oct.18-19 with a view to increase the networking between Tajik agribusiness players and foreign stakeholders and enhance their competitiveness, EastAgri website reported.
The EU / EBRD Tajik Agricultural Finance Framework (TAFF) will organize this forum with the support of the EU Delegation in Tajikistan.
The Forum will combine general presentations on the evolution and prospects of Tajik agribusiness with workshops on specific topics and sub-sectors and field visits related to these sub-sectors. It is planned in addition to organize an exhibition / fair of the products and services of the participants, whether Tajik or foreign.
The Forum plans to have four sub-sector groups: Cotton and major crops; Fruit and vineyards; Animal productions; - Vegetables and niche products.
In cooperation with the EU, EBRD and the IFC, and in partnership with the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, TAFF organized in October 2010 the First International Agribusiness Investment Forum in Tajikistan .
