BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 3. To date, the price of liquefied natural gas has increased in Tajikistan, Trend reports with reference to asiaplustj.info.

Currently, a liter of liquefied gas in Tajikistan costs from 7 to 8 somoni ($0.68 - $0.78), depending on the regions, and four days ago the price was about 6.2 - 6.5 somoni ($0.60-$0.63) per liter.

Local drivers claim that there is a shortage of fuel in addition to price increases. The sale of liquefied gas has been completely suspended at gas stations in Bokhtar for the past three days. For instance, there is only one gas station in each of Khatlon region's districts, which sell a limited volume of liquefied gas.

Tajikistan imports fuel mainly from Russia and Kazakhstan. Among the companies working in this direction are Gazprom, Seganj, Rohi Somon Oil.
