About 40 enterprises with Chinese share operate in Turkmenistan, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported Nov. 10.
Meanwhile, about 70 investment projects worth more than $4 billion and 2.3 billion Chinese yuans have been registered in the country, according to the report.
Chinese companies are represented in oil and gas, telecommunications, transportation, agriculture spheres, textile, chemical and food industries, healthcare and construction.
Companies from China have implemented several big projects in gas sector.
In particular, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is taking part in development of the Bagtyyarlyk contract area and giant gas field Galkynysh.
