BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Russia and Turkmenistan are actively working on the implementation of many projects and are aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of transport, a source in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation told Trend.
"Currently, Russian companies in some cities of Turkmenistan are working to open centers to expand the repair and service base for the maintenance of 2,000 units of special machinery delivered in 2018-2021," said the source.
Furthermore, several projects have been successfully implemented to deliver Russian cars for the needs of medical organizations in Turkmenistan, as well as a contract was signed for the delivery of five diesel locomotives.
"At the moment, the possibilities of joint implementation of projects for the construction of the railway infrastructure of Turkmenistan are being worked out. During the high-level visit in June 2022, relevant memoranda were signed," said the source.
