BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 8. The Lebapgazchykarysh department of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengaz State Concern produced 1.01 billion cubic meters of natural gas in January 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
According to the information, during the specified period, the state concern's department exceeded the production plan by 4 percent.
Furthermore, the department produced more than 9.82 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2022, exceeding the production plan by 26 percent.
These indicators have been achieved by increasing the productivity of gas fields, repairing inactive wells, and putting them into operation.
Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and natural gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered fields.
