BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. State-owned enterprises of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan from January through March 2023 increased the manufacturing of industrial products by 5.3 percent compared to the first quarter of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the head of the Balkan region Tangryguly Atakhallyev at a government meeting held on April 15.
According to him, during the specified period, the volume of domestic trade turnover of the Balkan region amounted to 109.4 percent compared to the first quarter of 2022.
At the same time, Atakhallyev reported on the implementation of the plan for the development of investments within the framework of the implementation of the national rural program, and measures taken for the timely commissioning of social, engineering and road infrastructure facilities.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, industry is becoming one of the major sectors of the economy.
