ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 13. Data on the production of textile products in Turkmenistan showed an increase over the past year, exceeding the levels observed a year earlier, Trend reports.
Batyr Atdaev, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan's Government, made this announcement at an extended Cabinet of Ministers meeting.
As per his statements, during the specified period, the volume of products manufactured by enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, including fabrics, increased by 7.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that the production of sewing and knitwear last year amounted to 104.2 percent, and leather products - 100 percent compared to the previous year.
"The plan for the manufacture of carpet products at the enterprises of the Turkmenistan's Turkmenhaly State Association has been exceeded by 4 percent," he noted.
Turkmenistan's textile sector is undergoing a notable phase of advancement, evident in the upswing of textile production.
Enhanced government backing and strategic investments in this sector not only boost production volumes but also enhance the quality of the products.
