The daily average price of RON-80 gasoline in Uzbekistan for the period from December 28, 2020, to January 3, 2021, increased from 5,654 soums to 5,674 soums per ton ($0.54 - $0.55), or by 0.4 percent, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UZEX).
Over the past week, goods worth 888.5 billion soums ($85 million) were sold on all trading platforms of the UZEX, which is 38.3 percent less than in the previous week. Of these, 88 percent of sales fell on exchange auctions, 5.1 percent - at the exhibition and fair auctions, 6.5 percent - on government purchases, and 0.4 percent - on online auctions of license plates.
The total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private entrepreneurship amounted to 336.8 billion soums ($32 million). As a result of the electronic auctions on public procurement, the total savings of budgetary and corporate customers amounted to 9.4 billion soums ($900,000).
In addition, commodity resources worth 782 billion soums ($7.5 million) were sold at open exchange auctions for the reported period.
Last week, 6,014 tons of cottonseed oil were exposed, of which 2,052 tons were sold, or 34.1 percent. On average, 63 buyers took part in the exchange trades daily.
A slight decrease in prices was also recorded on the sugar exchange market. Last week, 4,187 tons of sugar were put up for sale, of which 1,772 tons, or 42.3 percent, were sold.
Also, during the past week, 94,470 tons of cement were put up for sale, of which 83,227 tons, or 88.1 percent, were sold. The daily volume of cement sales averaged 20,800 tons. The daily average price for cement of all brands increased from 579,600 soums to 592,500 soums per ton ($55.5-$56.7).
Furthermore, 18,504 tons of RON-80 motor gasoline were put up for trading on the exchange, of which 12,434 tons, or 67.2 percent, were sold. On average, 21 buyers took part in the exchange trades daily.
During the period under review, the weekly weighted average price of motor gasoline RON-80 amounted to 5,658 soums per ton ($0.54) of gasoline, RON-91 - 6,697 soums per ton ($.64).
