Uzbekistan may consider temporary suspension of yarn exports in case of a shortage of yarn in the domestic market, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Uztekstilprom association.

According to the information, controversies are gaining momentum over the growing demand for yarn in the domestic market of Uzbekistan and the corresponding increase in prices.

It is reported that the issues of complete control over this situation and the timely execution of export contracts were discussed at an online meeting on January 20 with the participation of the Uztextile Industry Association and large enterprises.

The first deputy chairman of the Uztekstilprom association spoke about the important tasks facing the association and network enterprises. In turn, each company made its proposals on the situation and received answers to its questions from the management of the association.

At the same time, the deputy chairman noted that in case of a shortage of yarn in the domestic market, the issue of a temporary suspension of exports could be considered.

Recently, the co-founder of Uzbtextile companies Shokhrukh Kayumov told about the difficult situation in the textile market of Uzbekistan. According to the entrepreneur, constant changes in the cost of raw materials, high prices and a shortage of yarn volumes are main reasons that led to this situation.
