The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan will create and monitor the Central Information Portal on Public Procurement by September 1, 2021, Trend reports with reference to Norma.uz information and legal portal.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved a number of measures, according to which the procedure for organizing public procurement will be improved with the use of information and communication technologies.
According to these measures, the Ministry of Finance was instructed to create a separate page on a special information portal in the field of public procurement by April 1, 2021. The portal will provide for electronic public procurement in construction sector.
Also, the ministry was instructed to develop technical and design documentation for the creation of the Central Information Portal by May 1, 2021, and conduct its expertise at the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications in the prescribed manner.
In addition, the ministry will take measures to create and monitor the Central Information Portal on Public Procurement by September 1, 2021. The portal will bring together all data on public procurement and provides electronic interaction with external information systems.
It was noted that the development and maintenance of the Central Information Portal is carried out by the Information and Computing Center of the Ministry of Finance. The development and monitoring of the portal will be carried out at the expense of funds raised from international financial institutions, as well as at the expense of the information and computing center of the Ministry of Finance.
Moreover, starting from April 1, 2021, information on the founders of the public procurement contractor will be entered into the register of contracts with government customers using the exchange of information between the information systems of the Ministry of Finance and the State Oil Company.
Also, functional requirements for maintaining the Central Information Portal of Public Procurement and the Rules for maintaining a national classifier of goods (works, services) used in public procurement have been approved.
