Uzbekistan looks to solve problem with its protein-filled goods' export

Uzbekistan and Malaysia agreed on the creation of a joint working group between on expert level to eliminate possible problems in the export of Uzbek products with protein content, Trend reports referring to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On June 23, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur organized online negotiations between the leadership of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development of Uzbekistan and the Department of Veterinary Services of Malaysia (DVSM).

As part of the event, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the work carried out in Uzbekistan in the development of the livestock industry, the introduction of modern and innovative methods to increase the volume and expand the range of products, as well as uninterrupted provision of the population with high-quality and affordable livestock products produced in local conditions, state support for enterprises in this area.

As a result of the event, an agreement was reached on the creation of a joint working group between the expert level in order to determine specific areas of cooperation in the above-mentioned area, as well as identify and eliminate possible problems in the export of Uzbek products with protein content.

DVSM was founded in 1888 under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Malaysia to ensure the sustainable development of the livestock sector in the country. The department is also responsible for the control and elimination of animal diseases, including inspections of meat, milk, eggs, animal feed, animal processing plants, import and export of livestock and products containing protein.
