BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. Uzbekistan looks to develop its cableways at tourist attractions of the Kashkadarya region, with help of specialists from China, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The matter was discussed between the Kashkadarya region's khokim (governor) Murodjon Azimov and the CEO of the Chinese CAMC Engineering Company (CAMCE) Li Haixin.

Throughout the discussions, the sides have reached an agreement on cooperation in the development of new modern infrastructures in the Kashkadarya region.

Furthermore, the governor of Kashkadarya and the CEO of the company touched upon matters of projects for the transition to green energy and the production of energy-saving technologies, as well as the construction of agrologistic centers in the region.

Following the negotiations, the parties have agreements on the implementation of projects for the construction of modern suspended cableways in the "Kainar" (Kitab district), "Miraki" (Shakhrisabz district), and "Mayanak" (Kamashinsky district) tourist zones.

Furthermore, some 5.2 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2022, which is 2.8 times more than in the same period last year. State Statistics Committee notes that the largest number of tourists visited Uzbekistan from neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan - over 15,511 people; Tajikistan - over 14,478 people; Kyrgyzstan - over 13, 569 people.
