TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 18. Uzbekistan exported 1,500 tons of grapes for a total of $1.4 million in February 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the recorded volume (tons) is 40 percent lower than in January 2024 (2,500 tons).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 251,200 tons of fruits and vegetables worth $150.1 million from January through February 2024. This indicator increased 1.9 times, or 115,500 tons, year-on-year.
Pakistan (26.6 percent), Russia (26.1 percent), Kazakhstan (9.1 percent), and China (9 percent) were the main export markets for horticultural products.
The share of exports of fruits and vegetables amounted to 4.1 percent of total exports from January through February 2024.
At the same time, Uzbekistan plans to increase agricultural exports to $3.5 billion in 2024.
