TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 22. Uzbekistan produced 179,100 tons of oil from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this indicator has decreased by 8.3 percent over the same period previous year (195,500 tons from January through March 2023).
At the same time, the country’s production of oil increased by 60,600 tons compared to the previous two months (118.500 tons of oil).
Furthermore, the volume of oil production in Uzbekistan amounted to 770,100 tons in 2023.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's Saneg (the largest private oil and gas company) plans to launch a line of oils for passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the second half of 2024.
According to the company, the oils will be produced according to the latest requirements of automobile manufacturers. Saneg intends to sell these products both in the EU and Central Asian markets, including Uzbekistan.
